Not Your Typical Amazon Retreat
Many retreats offer beautiful and comfortable settings where the jungle sits just outside the window. While the forest may be nearby, the environment often still feels familiar- almost like being back home, just surrounded by greenery.
Our journey is different.
Instead of recreating comfort in the jungle, we step into the heart of it, the origin of the medicine itself. We travel into the lower and middle Amazon rainforest to explore the land in its pure and living form. This experience invites participants to move beyond comfort and into exploration - building resilience, deep connection with nature, and a renewed relationship with our own True Nature.
We spend time with Indigenous communities, learning from their wisdom, traditions, and relationship with the jungle that has carried these medicines for generations.
It is an opportunity to step closer to the source- to experience the jungle as it truly is, and to deepen our understanding of the medicine through the land, the culture, and the people who protect it.

Surrounded by the living intelligence of the Amazon rainforest, we will step into a space of deep healing, renewal, and reconnection. More than a retreat, this is a journey of integration, remembrance, and transformation.
This experience is designed for those who feel called to go beyond ceremony alone - to understand the spirit, culture, and lineage behind the medicines, and to cultivate a deeper, more conscious relationship with them.
On May 5, we begin with the Opening of the Feitio ceremony at the Feitio House with Padrinho Alfredo of Nova Era and Nova Jerusalém, honoring the sacred preparation of the medicine and the traditions that carry it forward.
Throughout our time together, we will participate in ceremonies, cultural immersion, and learning experiences connected to the Amazon and its people. We will attend a seminar on sustainability, climate change, and Amazon preservation.
Participants will also take part in the planting of cipó and folha da rainha, the sacred plants used in the preparation of the medicine. This activity is part of an Eternal Ayah Reforestation: Planting for Future Generations Project supported for many years by theTruth Is One, offering a rare opportunity to experience the medicine from its very beginning, seeing how it is planted, grown, and protected through the Daime Eterno Project.
On May 10, we will celebrate Davi’s birthday with a special Mother’s Day community lunch, honoring community, gratitude, and the nurturing spirit of the feminine.
Throughout the retreat, we will deepen our understanding of the Umbandaime tradition and learn about the Orixás, nature spirits connected to different energies, archetypes, and elements that guide the ceremonies and the relationship between people, spirit, and the forest.
During this journey, we will be staying within the Davi's community, deeply immersed in the culture, music, customs, and traditions of the local people, surrounded by the living spirit of the Amazon forest. Our home for this experience will be a Flor da Jurema retreat center in the state of Acre, a place of profound tranquility where the rhythms of the jungle guide the pace of daily life.
This retreat offers a rare opportunity to step beyond observation and truly experience the Amazon through the eyes and wisdom of its guardians. Through shared moments, stories, songs, and traditions, we will connect with the culture that has preserved these sacred medicines and the deep relationship between people and the forest.
Part of our journey will include a boat excursion along the Rio Croa, where we will visit some of the most enchanting and pristine spots in the region. Surrounded by the sounds of the jungle and the vast beauty of the river, this experience invites a deeper connection with nature and the spirit of the land.
At night, we will gather together for sacred fire circles, sharing chants, music, and moments of reflection beneath the vast Amazonian sky. These evenings will create space for community, integration, and honoring the ancient traditions that continue to live through the forest and its people.
Our sacred ceremonies will be will be lovingly and expertly facilitated by Brazilian facilitators, shamans and indigenous leaders in the style of the Umbandaime, Santa Daime and Indigenous tradition. Consecrated by the healing energies, nature spirits and protective guardians of this magical land.
Participants will receive the opportunity to cleanse and heal with Kambo (frog) medicine. Often referred to as the “vaccine of the jungle” by the indigenous peoples of Brazil, this potent purgative is known for its power to purify and heal on all levels: physical, mental, emotional and spiritual. Kambo is native to this region of the Amazon and will be expertly administered by one of Brazil’s most seasoned and sought after practitioners, Davi de Paula.

To apply for the retreat, please complete the application form. Once your submission is reviewed and accepted we will send you a payment link to confirm your spot. Deposits are 50% refundable if cancellation occurs 30 days or more prior to the program start date. Deposits are non-refundable for cancellations made less than 30 days before the program begins.
